PDA stands for Plainfield Dance Academy and for our three pillars: Passion, Dedication, and Artistry. Classical technique comes first. Contemporary, jazz, and character come next, along with the company path for dancers who want the stage.
Dedication
Numbered Ballet I–VI on the Vaganova path. Hours increase with the level. Each dancer moves up when the teachers see the technique is ready.
Artistry
Company and pre-professional work by audition. Dancers perform at the Harris Theater, the Rosemont Theater, high-school auditoriums, and the PDA Black Box Theater.
Owner / Director
Altin Naska, Ballet Master
Owner and director. Trained at Albania’s National Ballet School, then Istanbul State Opera and Ballet. In Chicago since 1999, he has danced with Thodos Dance Chicago and Mordine & Company. His credits include work with Joffrey dancers for Dance Chicago and Dutch National Ballet’s New Voices program.
Co-Director: Olena Nalyvaiko, Ballet Mistress. Faculty: Devon Lloyd (Contemporary / Lyrical / Jazz) and Sonia Garcia (Children’s Ballet / Progressing Ballet Technique).

Four programs in one school
Children’s work at three and four. A numbered Vaganova path from Ballet I through Ballet VI. Jazz and contemporary beside the ballet week. Company by audition.
Children’s
Ages 3–4. Pre-Ballet, Pre-Tap, Children’s Ballet with Miss Sonia. Call for placement.
Academy
Ages 5–17. Vaganova Ballet I–VI. Register for the numbered path.
Recreational
Modern, jazz, tap, lyrical. Adult classes. Miss Devon. Register for the term.
Company
Mini through Senior. Pre-professional by audition. Call the studio.
